Kimbo Slice, who become popular on the internet as a street fighter that earn him the the tag "The King of the Web Brawlers." His real name is Kevin Ferguson, a bearded street fighter he died at the age of 42.

He was rushed to a hospital in Margate, Florida, near his home Monday, Coral Springs Police Sgt. Carla Kmiotek said. His manager Mike Imber confirmed his death. "We lost our brother today," Imber said in a text message to The Associated Press.

He was born in Bahamas and grew up in the Miami area, Slice was a strip club bouncer and bodyguard who began competing in unsanctioned street fights in 2003.

When he became popular as a street fighter on the internet he studied MMA and eventually competed for several promotions, which includes the UFC and Bellator, which staged his two most recent fights. While he went only 5-2 and never won a championship belt, the personable Slice became one of MMA's best-known figures, attracting large television audiences and crowds to his growing sport.

He is survived by 6 children, and he credited his MMA career for allowing him to send them to college.
