"The Ultimate Warrior" James Hellwig Dead at 54

WWE on their website announces that James Hellwig or better known as "The Ultimate Warrior" has died at the age of 54. He died on April 8, 2014 four days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

"WWE is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever, The Ultimate Warrior," WWE said on its website.

The cause of death has not been released. His career started in 1987 with the World Wrestling Federation (now known as WWE) from 1987 to 1991. He returned in 1992 and 1996, and was involve with the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1998.

His career highlight was his battle with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI, where he defeated the Hulkster to become a WWE champion.

"We are grateful that just days ago, Warrior had the opportunity to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame and was also able to appear at WrestleMania 30 and Monday Night Raw to address his legions of fans."

Hellwig was survived by his wife Dana and his two daughters.

WrestleMania 30 results: The Undertaker loses to Brock Lesnar

The Undertaker loses to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30. Brock Lesnar came out as the new hero of WrestleMania by winning against The Undertaker.  The Undertaker lost ended his 10-year streak at WrestleMania. The crowd at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana were stunned by the results, The Undertaker losing to Brock ending his WrestleMania supremacy of 21 wins and zero losses.

Th two monsters traded thunderous blows and punches. There were tons of submissions moves and three F5’s but in the end Paul Heyman’s guy emerged victorious and Brock is the first athlete to pin The Undertaker on WrestleMania.

The CM Punk rumors stayed as just rumor, there were no CM Punk sightings at the WrestleMania 30.

Syracuse Basketball: Syracuse Orange Lost to Dayton Flyers 55-53

Dyshawn Pierre had 14 points to lead Dayton Flyers shocking Syracuse Orange 55-53 to advance to the Sweet 16 for the 1st time since 1984 (30 years).

Syracuse Orange star freshman point guard Tyler Ennis was there at the top of the key and with 2 seconds left and with the Flyers having 2 point advantage, he have hit this shot before over and over again but not this time, it was off the mark and clanged off the rim. Dayton Flyers finally won.

Jordan Sibert wasscoreless in the first half but hit a key 3-pointer with 47.7 seconds for Dayton, he finished with 10 points and Sandford had 8 points.

Tyler Ennis finished with 19 points on 7-21 for the Syracuse Orange.

Will Phil Jackson Effective in the New York Knicks?

Phil Jackson must completely redo the New York Knicks and change the team's attitude and he must elevate the Knicks to a respectable level of basketball relevance to make the team attractive to elite talent.

A GM said that Phil can help the Knicks gives the team a face and credibility. But these big free agents are only going to a place where they feel they can win. Phil needs to build something first to earn their trust.

ESPN reported that Phil Jackson signed to be the New York Knicks president for $12 million per year and it does not include a stake in ownership.

He will take care of basketball operations while general manager Steve Mills will continue to be in front office. Phil Jackson record as a coach is 11 NBA championships which is why he is so much respected by NBAs elite talents.

Jackson will have to deal with Carmelo Anthony's free agency as Carmelo has plans to  opt out of the final year of his contract this summer. There are also rumors that he will fire Mike Woodson and look for a new coach.


I really hope he can impose an impact to the Knicks and change their attitude and finally win some trophies.

Philadelphia 76ers will retire Allen Iverson's No. 3 Jersey

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia 76ers is set to retire the No. 3 jersey of their former all-star great Allen Iverson. The ceremony will be set at halftime of Saturday's game Philadelphia 76ers vs Washington Wizards.

The team had place a space for Iverson's number between Maurice Cheeks' No. 10 and Charles Barkley's No. 34.

Allen Iverson retired in October 2010, led the Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA finals in 2001. He was also awarded the MVP titles on that year. He also got 4 scoring titles under his belt.
