Jordan Clarkson and Nick Young of LA Lakers accused of sexual harassment

Jordan Clarkson, Nick Young, sexual harassment, LA Lakers

Two LA Lakers guards Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson are facing sexual harassment charges for an incident last Sunday in Hollywood, according to report from Baxter Holmes of ESPN.

The team organization is investigating the incident and say they are taking it very seriously.

Alexis Jones is the one who is accussing them, she's an activist who helped start the women’s empowerment organization "I AM THAT GIRL".

"Jones said following dinner she and her 68-year-old mother stopped their vehicle at the intersection, where a Jeep with four men pulled up alongside them. According to Jones, the men inside the Jeep began making “vulgar, sexual” gestures toward her mother.

“She was super rattled. That’s the truth. It scared her,” Jones said. “We were in a small car, and they were in a big Jeep, and it was a bunch of big dudes. They’re leaning out of the car and making vulgar, sexual gestures. My mom was really shocked. That immediately turned into sobbing.”

Jones added, “The irony is I created a program called ‘ProtectHer’ out of the urgency to address sexual abuse in athletics, and I was on phone calls with the NBA as of Friday talking with them about integrating this message and this program into the NBA."

She didn't know the men but she was able to take pictures of them that she later shared on Instagram,
commenters identified two of the men as Lakers players.

I pray these pics go viral because THIS is the problem with little boys. Five minutes ago, at the intersection of Melrose and La Bre here in LA, a jeep of four boys pulled up at a red light and started yelling and making the most disgustingly vulgar gestures at my mom and me. I rarely "rant" about things but this is the f%+#ing problem and the reason I've now dedicated my life to educating young men about respect, not just for women but for everyone. I'm angry. I'm insulted. I'm hurt. They were laughing hysterically until they realized I was filming them and immediately they panicked like the cowards they are. Thank you to all the real men out there who would never treat a mother and daughter that way... Speaking of, I'd love for this to make it back to their mothers!!! Help me find who these guys are!!! Let's see the power of social media and hold them accountable. I'd LOVE to have a candid conversation with them about sexual harassment not simply to shame them, but to understand their mentality so we can better educate young men to be respectful in the future. #littleboys #cowards #realmenrespectwomen #messedwiththewrongchick #wewillfindyou @iamthatgirl

Anthony Davis Done for the Season Because of Injuries

Anthony Davis, NBA, New Orleans Pelicans

New Orleans Pelicans Center Anthony Davis will miss the rest of the season due to persistent injuries. New Orleans Pelicans announced on Sunday that Davis will need to deal with his nagging knee and shoulder injuries.

Last Friday, Davis banged knees with Portland guard C.J. McCollum that forced him to the bench and he missed practice on Saturday. Pelican's coach Alvin Gentry warned after that practice that his All-Star could be sitting out his last 14 games, but a lot of people dismissed that idea since Davis may want to pad his stats to finish the season that would possibly result in a significant contract bonus boost for Davis.

Jennifer Hale of Fox Sports in a report said that Davis will undergo surgery on his knee and also his shoulder, to repair a torn labrum.

While Davis has not been as dominant in 2015-16 as he was last year, he's still one of the NBA's best players and was averaging 24.3 points and a career-high 10.3 rebounds per game.

Wrestler Got "Mat Herpes" While Wrestling

Blake Flovin herpes, wrestler herpes

Wrestler Blake Flovin said he contracted a virus known as "mat herpes" while wrestling at a high school tournament in San Jose. He wants the state wrestling championships in Bakersfield this weekend to be postponed so that the highly contagious virus will not spread.

However, his request to delay the championships was rejected at the state wrestling level. The officials with the California Interscholastic Federation, which governs high school sports in the state, made it clear the tournament will proceed with standard hygiene protocols in place. The tournament has participants of 561 wrestlers from 276 schools.

The virus is highly contagious specially when the infected is exhibiting lesions that can infect others. No new cases have been reported, although some wrestlers who competed against Blake have gone to the doctor to check on skin issues they noticed.

Denny Hamlin won the Daytona 500, Shake n Bake Win

Denny Hamlin, Daytona 500 race

Denny Hamlin, Daytona 500 race

It's like shake n bake win from Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
Denny Hamlin and his crew were victorious in the Daytona 500, and he has no idea how he done it, "what happened?" "I don't know where it came from," Hamlin said at the time. "I don't know what happened. I don't know what I did."

He won the race by 0.010 seconds, it is the smallest margin in the 58 years of the Daytona race. It's the most awesome came-from-behind victory of the race.

Denny Hamlin edges Martin Truex Jr. by a few centimeters in closest Daytona 500 finish ever. With less than a lap to go at Sunday's Daytona 500, Hamlin surges from the fourth position to the first passing teammate Matt Kenseth along the way–and capped off the Daytona 500 win.

Denver Broncos beat Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50

Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers, Super Bowl 50

- Peyton Manning not confirming, but may retire a Champion

SANTA CLARA, California — Peyton Manning can now retire a champion. Broncos defense which is headed by Von Miller secure them the title.

Both quarterback Bronco's Manning and Panthers' Cam Newton was given hell they were harassed all night, but the Broncos made enough big plays that gave them the 24-10 victory, Manning’s 200th and perhaps his last before retirement.
Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers, Super Bowl 50

Von Miller blew around Carolina Panthers right tackle Mike Remmers, and Cam Newton couldn’t feel him coming. That Miller walloped Newton from his blind side was one thing, but it was what happened next that showed why Miller is the NFL’s next major defensive star.

Miller finished Super Bowl 50 with 2.5 sacks, including 2 that resulted in fumbles, and 6 total tackles. Far from taking credit, he heaped praise on his teammates.

Newton was helpless against Denver’s suffocating defense he was jittery the whole game. Newton couldn’t finish off a dynamic season in which he was the league’s MVP. Miller simply owned him, Miller stripped him twice, once for a touchdown, the second time setting up a clinching TD. Denver’s top-ranked defense, the one that ran roughshod over Tom Brady in the AFC championship, simply wouldn’t let Newton get comfortable.

Newton was sacked 6 times, receiver Ted Ginn Jr., went down once on an aborted trick play and if Miller wasn’t torturing him, DeMarcus Ware was. Ware had two of the seven sacks, the most ever by one team in the Super Bowl.

The Panthers very efficient offense that led the league with 500 points was held to its fewest points of the year, and Denver set an ignominious mark with 194 yards gained, the fewest for a Super Bowl winner.

The Broncos (15-4) are champions and Manning is the first quarterback to win Super Bowls with two franchises, Indianapolis in 2007 was the other. Gary Kubiak is the first to win a Super Bowl as player and coach for the same team.

Manning finished 13 for 23 for 141 yards against a strong Carolina (17-2) defense that just couldn’t match Miller and the rest.

Manning wouldn't budge on whether this was, in fact, his last game.

"I got some good advice from Tony Dungy," Manning said of the first of four coaches with whom he's been to the Super Bowl. "He said, 'Don't make an emotional decision.' This has been an emotional week, an emotional night. I'm going to take some time to reflect."
