Chris Bosh blood clots in Lungs

Miami Heat's All-Star forward Chris Bosh undergone more tests in South Florida hospital on Friday after suffering what is suspected to be a pulmonary embolism. Pulmonary embolism happens when an arterty in the lungs is clogged by a blood clot that travels to the lungs. It is life-threatening if not treated immediately with blood thinners. This can end his season or even his career.

Some medical experts believe that it is not safe to play contact sports on blood thinners since they can suffer uncontrollable internal and external bleeding. If the test will reveal that he is suffering from an auto-immune disease that made him prone to blood clots, he will be on blood thinners for life.

Bosh is expected to have more tests on his blood and heart, which includes stress test, before anyone can safely say he can play in the NBA.

If it is just a minor pulmonary embolism he will only need to take blood thinners for a few months.
