Lakers Lose Again This time Against the Wizards

Kobe Bryant, LA Lakers, NBA

The fans were chanting "We want Kobe!", it seems they wanted to Kobe to play the full 48 minutes of the game. But even with Kobe, the Los Angeles Lakers can't find their groove. The Lakers lose the game to the Washington Wizards, 101-88.

The Wizards overcame a slow start and a last quarter lull. This is the Washington Wizards final matchup against Kobe Bryant. The Wizards head north to face the Golden State Warriors. It was a sellout crowd they want to see Kobe play one last time, before he retires. Kobe finished with 17 points on 6-of-15 shooting in 23 minutes. He scored nine of his points in the game’s first eight minutes with three 3-pointers.

Jordan Clarkson failed to make his first 6 shots and he didn't score until midway through the fourth quarter. He finished with two points, his lowest total since last April. Maybe it's because to the sexual harassment case. Marcin Gortat finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds. John Wall lead the Wizards with 22 points and 13 assists for his 46th double-double.

Jordan Clarkson and Nick Young of LA Lakers accused of sexual harassment

Jordan Clarkson, Nick Young, sexual harassment, LA Lakers

Two LA Lakers guards Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson are facing sexual harassment charges for an incident last Sunday in Hollywood, according to report from Baxter Holmes of ESPN.

The team organization is investigating the incident and say they are taking it very seriously.

Alexis Jones is the one who is accussing them, she's an activist who helped start the women’s empowerment organization "I AM THAT GIRL".

"Jones said following dinner she and her 68-year-old mother stopped their vehicle at the intersection, where a Jeep with four men pulled up alongside them. According to Jones, the men inside the Jeep began making “vulgar, sexual” gestures toward her mother.

“She was super rattled. That’s the truth. It scared her,” Jones said. “We were in a small car, and they were in a big Jeep, and it was a bunch of big dudes. They’re leaning out of the car and making vulgar, sexual gestures. My mom was really shocked. That immediately turned into sobbing.”

Jones added, “The irony is I created a program called ‘ProtectHer’ out of the urgency to address sexual abuse in athletics, and I was on phone calls with the NBA as of Friday talking with them about integrating this message and this program into the NBA."

She didn't know the men but she was able to take pictures of them that she later shared on Instagram,
commenters identified two of the men as Lakers players.

I pray these pics go viral because THIS is the problem with little boys. Five minutes ago, at the intersection of Melrose and La Bre here in LA, a jeep of four boys pulled up at a red light and started yelling and making the most disgustingly vulgar gestures at my mom and me. I rarely "rant" about things but this is the f%+#ing problem and the reason I've now dedicated my life to educating young men about respect, not just for women but for everyone. I'm angry. I'm insulted. I'm hurt. They were laughing hysterically until they realized I was filming them and immediately they panicked like the cowards they are. Thank you to all the real men out there who would never treat a mother and daughter that way... Speaking of, I'd love for this to make it back to their mothers!!! Help me find who these guys are!!! Let's see the power of social media and hold them accountable. I'd LOVE to have a candid conversation with them about sexual harassment not simply to shame them, but to understand their mentality so we can better educate young men to be respectful in the future. #littleboys #cowards #realmenrespectwomen #messedwiththewrongchick #wewillfindyou @iamthatgirl

Anthony Davis Done for the Season Because of Injuries

Anthony Davis, NBA, New Orleans Pelicans

New Orleans Pelicans Center Anthony Davis will miss the rest of the season due to persistent injuries. New Orleans Pelicans announced on Sunday that Davis will need to deal with his nagging knee and shoulder injuries.

Last Friday, Davis banged knees with Portland guard C.J. McCollum that forced him to the bench and he missed practice on Saturday. Pelican's coach Alvin Gentry warned after that practice that his All-Star could be sitting out his last 14 games, but a lot of people dismissed that idea since Davis may want to pad his stats to finish the season that would possibly result in a significant contract bonus boost for Davis.

Jennifer Hale of Fox Sports in a report said that Davis will undergo surgery on his knee and also his shoulder, to repair a torn labrum.

While Davis has not been as dominant in 2015-16 as he was last year, he's still one of the NBA's best players and was averaging 24.3 points and a career-high 10.3 rebounds per game.

Wrestler Got "Mat Herpes" While Wrestling

Blake Flovin herpes, wrestler herpes

Wrestler Blake Flovin said he contracted a virus known as "mat herpes" while wrestling at a high school tournament in San Jose. He wants the state wrestling championships in Bakersfield this weekend to be postponed so that the highly contagious virus will not spread.

However, his request to delay the championships was rejected at the state wrestling level. The officials with the California Interscholastic Federation, which governs high school sports in the state, made it clear the tournament will proceed with standard hygiene protocols in place. The tournament has participants of 561 wrestlers from 276 schools.

The virus is highly contagious specially when the infected is exhibiting lesions that can infect others. No new cases have been reported, although some wrestlers who competed against Blake have gone to the doctor to check on skin issues they noticed.
