Lakers Lose Again This time Against the Wizards

Kobe Bryant, LA Lakers, NBA

The fans were chanting "We want Kobe!", it seems they wanted to Kobe to play the full 48 minutes of the game. But even with Kobe, the Los Angeles Lakers can't find their groove. The Lakers lose the game to the Washington Wizards, 101-88.

The Wizards overcame a slow start and a last quarter lull. This is the Washington Wizards final matchup against Kobe Bryant. The Wizards head north to face the Golden State Warriors. It was a sellout crowd they want to see Kobe play one last time, before he retires. Kobe finished with 17 points on 6-of-15 shooting in 23 minutes. He scored nine of his points in the game’s first eight minutes with three 3-pointers.

Jordan Clarkson failed to make his first 6 shots and he didn't score until midway through the fourth quarter. He finished with two points, his lowest total since last April. Maybe it's because to the sexual harassment case. Marcin Gortat finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds. John Wall lead the Wizards with 22 points and 13 assists for his 46th double-double.

Anthony Davis Done for the Season Because of Injuries

Anthony Davis, NBA, New Orleans Pelicans

New Orleans Pelicans Center Anthony Davis will miss the rest of the season due to persistent injuries. New Orleans Pelicans announced on Sunday that Davis will need to deal with his nagging knee and shoulder injuries.

Last Friday, Davis banged knees with Portland guard C.J. McCollum that forced him to the bench and he missed practice on Saturday. Pelican's coach Alvin Gentry warned after that practice that his All-Star could be sitting out his last 14 games, but a lot of people dismissed that idea since Davis may want to pad his stats to finish the season that would possibly result in a significant contract bonus boost for Davis.

Jennifer Hale of Fox Sports in a report said that Davis will undergo surgery on his knee and also his shoulder, to repair a torn labrum.

While Davis has not been as dominant in 2015-16 as he was last year, he's still one of the NBA's best players and was averaging 24.3 points and a career-high 10.3 rebounds per game.

Stephen Curry Talks About Topping Michael Jordan as GOAT, Seriously?

Stephen Curry, NBA, Michael Jordan, Warriors, Golden State Warriors

Cbssports reported that Stephen Curry said that he wants to top Michael Jordan as Greatest of All Time, seriously dude can you count the ring in your finger? I'm not a fan of Michael Jordan but Stephen Curry needs a reality check.

He was asked:  So you are trying to top MJ as the greatest of all time?

Curry said, "Yeah. Why else would I be playing? You want to be the best you can be. And if the best you can be is better than him, then why not? That's good motivation."

Even Mario Chalmers has an edge against Curry he got two rings and he's not talking about beating Michael Jordan. And there are even a lot of NBA players still in the league that has better accomplishments him to list a few, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Dirk Nowitzky, Kevin Garnett, Pau Gasol, Paul Pierce, Kawhi Leonard, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Dwayne Wade etc.

Why not talk about winning another championship ring before talking about GOAT. The writer even talk about Curry revolutionizing the game of basketball, how did he do that?

Yes, the Golden State Warriors are playing good basketball lately winning 23 games with no loss. If you asked me by mid-season this Warriors club will exhaust themselves and would struggle in the second half of the season. Then come post-season teams will take in seriously and play tough on the Warriors then the Warriors will fold. I don't think they will win the championship this season.

No Deng No Problem as Bulls Defeated Suns 92-87

Luol Deng, Chicago Bulls, Andrew Bynum, Cleveland Cavalier, NBA, basketball, Luol Deng trade

CHICAGO – Even though the Chicago Bulls were shocked by the Luol Deng trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers, they still found a way to beat the Phoenix Suns. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau appeared to be dejected when he spoke to reporters before the game. Who wouldn't be he just lost a two-time All-Star and a great defender that gave problems to opposing teams.

Bulls had only 9 active players on the roster and they still defeated the Suns 92-87 to win their 3rd consecutive game.

Taj Gibson scored 19 points and pull 10 boards, Joakim Noah added 14 points and 16 rebounds, D.J. Augustin and Jimmy Butler scored 13 apiece. Tony Snell had 12 points, he also had a back-to-back 3-pointers during an 8-0 run early in the fourth quarter that gave them 13 points lead.

The Chicago Bulls announced early Tuesday that they have traded Luol Deng to Cleveland when he didn't agree with the proposed contract extension a 3 year, $30 million extension. The move though sad is beneficial for both parties since the Bulls saves money about $14.3 million in salary and gain spending flexibility. While for Deng he can get a bigger contract in free agency. The Bulls may also bag the lottery because of the trade.

In the trade the Chicago Bulls gave All-Star forward Luol Deng to the Cleveland Cavalier in exchange for problematic center Andrew Bynum, three future draft picks and the right to swap 2015 first round picks with the Cavs (1-14 protected). Bulls waive Bynum immediately after the trade.

For the Phoenix Suns, Goran Dragic scored 21. The Suns is without guard Eric Bledsoe, who missed his third consecutive game because of a sprained right knee.

Here’s My NBA Power Rankings

1. Miami Heat: They were 66-16 last season and Lebron James said that he will play better this season, they still have a declining Dwyane Wade, and unimpressive Chris Bosh, but their acquisition of Ray Allen has proven beneficial remember game 6.

2. Brooklyn Nets (49-33): Jason Kidd is a new coach but they have a great tactician in Lawrence Frank. The Nets has a deep bench and aging but still efficient Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett combined it with stars like Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brooke Lopez, they’ll be too much to handle this season and can unseat the Heat in the East.

3. Chicago Bulls (45-37): Derrick Rose has returned and his injury seems fully healed, his jumpers have improved teams, I think they will win a lot of games this season.

4. Indiana Pacers (49-32): Danny Granger is returning but his health is still an issue he will miss the first two games of the regular season with a calf strain. I hope Luis Scola will prove to be a nice piece in the Pacers run.

5. San Antonio Spurs (58-24): As long as they have a healthy Tim Duncan and Tony Parker they will be in contention. This should be Kawhi Leonard break out season.

6. Los Angeles Clippers (56-26): the Clippers have a new coach Doc Rivers to lead Chris Paul and Blake Griffin to win a title.

7.  Houston Rockets (45-37): Dwight Howard was healthy in the preseason and he seemed to work well with James Harden and Jeremy Lin but I still doubt his maturity.

8. Golden State Warriors (47-35): Andre Iguodala will play alongside Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, David Lee, Andrew Bogut and Harrison Barnes he can help this young team a lot.

9. Oklahoma City Thunder (60-22): The Thunder should be higher rank if not for an injured Russell Westbrook who might be sidelined until December.

10. Memphis Grizzlies (56-26): Dave Joerger is their new head coach what they need is a little offense to go with their defensive efficiency of 97.4 last season.

11. New York Knicks (54-28): Andrea Bargnani will be interesting to watch if he performs in New York with Carmelo Anthony.

12. Denver Nuggets (57-25): No more Andre Iguodala and Danilo Gallinari will be sidelined to recover his knee injury.

13. Minnesota Timberwolves (31-51): Wolves have Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio Nikola Pekovic and new acquisition Kevin Martin but I think it’s still not enough to make the postseason.

14. Washington Wizards (29-53 ): The Wizards will have John Wall, Marcin Gortat and Nene they may post a decent win record with those three.

15. New Orleans Pelicans (27-55): New Orleans will have a better shot this year with players like Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans.

16. Cleveland Cavaliers (24-58): the combo of Kyrie Irving and Andrew Bynum will be difficult for some teams, the question is if Bynum will actually play.

17. Detroit Pistons (29-53): Josh Smith will help this team this season, but I doubt if he can carry the team to postseason.

18. Portland Trail Blazers (33-49): LaMarcus Aldridge said: "mark my words" that the Blazers will be a playoff team. LOL

19. Dallas Mavericks (41-41): Ellis and Dirk Nowitzki will be a good tandem but still I have my doubts if they can reach the postseason.

20. Toronto Raptors (34-48): I hope Jonas Valanciunas plays well.

21. Charlotte Bobcats (21-61): The have a new center in big Al Jefferson.

22. Atlanta Hawks (44-38): Al Horford will be the face of the Hawks since Josh Smith is now gone.

23. Sacramento Kings (28-54): DeMarcus Cousins should deal with his issues and play better.

24. Utah Jazz (43-39): Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter will be interesting to watch, but they still lack pieces to make it to the postseason.

25. Boston Celtics (41-40): Yes, Celtics have a rehabbing Rajon Rondo and they have lost their vets in Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett but on positive note they have 9 first round draft picks.

26. Los Angeles Lakers (45-37): A lot of uncertainty of the Laker land this season since Kobe is still uncertain when he'll play.

27. Milwaukee Bucks (38-44): They are dealing will a lot of injuries this season Ersan Ilyasova (ankle), center Ekpe Udoh (knee) and swingman Carlos Delfino (foot).

28. Orlando Magic (20-62): Another rebuilding year for the Magic.

29. Phoenix Suns (25-57): I think they will have one of the worst record this season.

30. Philadelphia 76ers (34-48): The Sixers will be neck to neck with the Suns for the worst record.

LeBron James flopped in Game 3 of Heat vs Bulls

Like game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals series between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat game 3 didn't lack of as Lebron said "not basketball plays."

Tensions went high again when at 9:29 in the second quarter, as LeBron James drives the ball Nazr Mohammed come from behind him and hugged him for an intentional foul. James, twisted and shoved Nazr to the ground that earned him a technical from Referee Joey Crawford. LeBron then immediately began to complain to the referee. Nazr jumped to his feet and hit back with a light shove to the chest that shockingly thrown a 6' 8" 249.1 lbs LeBron James five feet away. It was ridiculously funny. And the referees decided to eject Nazr after a review of the play. Seriously? how does the NBA employ a referee?

On a separate play, Joakim Noah shoved Chris (porn) Andersen when Andersen fell on top of Nate Robinson who drived to the hoop and received a hard fould from Andersen. Check out the clips!

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau on post game said "From my angle I just saw a guy basically flopped, and I'm gonna leave it at that. We're well aware of what's going on. I'm watching how things are going. I watch very closely. What I'm seeing is… We'll adjust accordingly." Thibodeau noticed inconsistent officiating in the Bulls' conference semifinal matchup with the Heat and that he saw LeBron flopped.

NBA trade deadline Clippers end Kevin Garnett trade talks

The Los Angeles Clippers have terminated talks with the Boston Celtics on a Kevin Garnett for Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan trade for now.

The Celtics have been eager to continue the conversation on the deal, but league sources said the talks will remain dormant unless Clippers star Chris Paul pushes the issue with management.

Several prominent executives and coaches with championship contenders told Yahoo! Sports they believe the Clippers would become more dangerous with Garnett.

Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro is a proponent of the deal, too, sources said.

The Celtics won't consider moving Garnett to the Clippers for any other combination of players, and won't revisit the talks unless Bledsoe and Jordan are in the package, sources said.
Boston hasn't approached Garnett to waive his no-trade clause without an agreement in place, but there's strong belief he would ultimately agree to it. What's more, Boston could simply trade Paul Pierce and leave Garnett with even less desire to finish his career with a young, rebuilding roster.

Dwight Howard To LA Lakers

Dwight Howard, LA Lakers, Orlando Magic

The Los Angeles Lakers are finalizing a blockbuster four-team trade to acquire Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Dwight Howard will become a free agent at the end of this season. Agents with players that are involved in the deal said the teams are expected to complete the trade on a call with league officials on Friday. Orlando Magic officials had yet to inform Howard a deal had been consummated.

With the trade, the LA Lakers will send center Andrew Bynum to the Philadelphia 76ers, and will also receive shooting guard Jason Richardson from the Orlando Magic. The Sixers will send guard Andre Iguodala to the Denver Nuggets. The Magic will receive Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, rookie Moe Harkless, three first-round draft picks and a 2013 second-round pick from the Nuggets (by way of Golden State). In addition to Howard, the Lakers will also receive Earl Clark and Chris Duhon from the Magic.

Lakers forward Pau Gasol's representatives said that he's not included in the deal.

Orlando, Los Angeles and Philadelphia had discussed a three-way deal, but needed a fourth team to take Iguodala and also provide Orlando with the necessary future draft picks, sources said.

Howard's contract ends after this season. He isn't expected to immediately sign an extension with the Lakers because he can get a longer deal in free agency.

Heat rout Thunder for their second NBA title

James' triple-double

LeBron James is finally savoring it all since taking his talents to South Beach.
''Happiest day of my life,'' he said.

James had 26 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists, leading the Heat in a 121-106 rout of the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night to win the NBA Finals in five games.

All that was left was a celebration nine years in the making - and two years after his acrimonious parting from the Cavaliers.

''It means everything,'' James said moments before being named the playoffs MVP to go along with his regular-season award. ''I made a difficult decision to leave Cleveland but I understood what my future was about ... I knew we had a bright future (in Miami). This is a dream come true for me. This is definitely when it pays off.''

James left the game along with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh for good with 3:01 remaining for a round of hugs and the start for a party he's been waiting for since arriving in the NBA out of high school as the No. 1 pick of the 2003 draft. James hopped up and down in the final minutes, shared a long hug with opponent Kevin Durant, and then smiled as he watched the confetti rain down from the rafters.

''It's about damn time. It's about damn time,'' James said.

He was a choker last year, the guy who came up small in the fourth quarter, mocked for ''shrinking'' in the moment while playing with what he called ''hatred'' in trying to prove his critics wrong.

He came to Miami seeking an easier road to the finals but found it tougher than hoped, the Heat coming up empty last year and nearly getting knocked out in the Eastern Conference finals this time by Boston. Facing elimination there, James poured in 45 points on the road to force a Game 7 and the Heat won it at home.

This time, with a chance to clinch, the Heat took control in the second quarter, briefly lost it and blew the game open again in the third behind their role players, James content to pass to wide-open 3-point shooters while the Thunder focused all their attention on him.

The disappointment of losing to Dallas in six games a year ago vanished in a blowout of the demoralized Thunder, who got 32 points and 11 rebounds from Durant.

Bosh and Wade, the other members of the Big Three who sat alongside James as he promised titles at his Miami welcoming party, both had strong games. Bosh, who wept as the Heat left their own court after losing Game 6 last year, finished with 24 points and Wade scored 20. The Heat also got a huge boost from Mike Miller, who made seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points.

That all made it easier for James, the most heavily scrutinized player in the league since his departure from Cleveland, when he announced he was ''taking his talents to South Beach'' on a TV special called ''The Decision'' that was criticized everywhere from water coolers to the commissioner's office. James has said he wishes he handled things differently, but few who watched the Cavs fail to assemble championship talent around him could have argued with his desire to depart.

He found in Miami a team where he never had to do it alone, though he reminded everyone during this sensational postseason run that he still could when necessary. He got support whenever he needed it in this series, from Shane Battier's 17 points in Game 2 to Mario Chalmers' 25 in Game 4.

In the clincher it was Miller, banged up from so many injuries that he limped from the bench to scorer's table when he checked in. He made his fourth 3-pointer of the half right before James' fast-break basket capped a 15-2 run that extended Miami's lead to 53-36 with 4:42 remaining in the first half.

The Thunder were making a remarkably early trip to the finals just three years after starting 3-29, beating the Mavericks, Lakers and Spurs along the way. With Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka and James Harden all 23 or younger, the Thunder have the pieces in place for a lengthy stay atop the Western Conference.

But their inexperience showed in this series, a few questionable decisions, possessions and outright mistakes costing them in their franchise's first finals appearance since Seattle lost to Chicago in 1996. Westbrook scored 19 but made only four of his 20 shots, unable to come up with anything close to his 43-point outing in Game 4, and Harden finished a miserable series with 19.

''It hurts, man,'' Durant said. ''We're all brothers on this team and it just hurts to go out like this. We made it to the finals, which was cool for us, but we didn't want to just make it there. Unfortunately we lost, so it's tough.''

Nothing they did could have stopped James, anyway.

Appearing fully over the leg cramps that forced him to sit out the end of Game 4, he was dominant again, a combination of strength and speed that is practically unmatched in the game and rarely seen in its history.

Wade skipped to each side of the court before the opening tip with arms up to pump up the fans, then James showed them nothing wrong with his legs, throwing down an emphatic fast-break dunk to open the scoring. He made consecutive baskets while being fouled, showing no expression after the second, as if he'd hardly even known he was hit. Drawing so much attention from the Thunder, he started finding his wide-open shooters, and the Heat built a nine-point lead before going to the second up 31-26.

James promised multiple titles at his welcoming party, and the Heat have three pieces to build around. Pat Riley will have to fill some holes on the roster, but will likely find some players eager to come to Miami for the good weather and great chance to win.

Durant had 34 points and 14 rebounds while playing all of regulation for the first time all season, and the Thunder claimed a spot in the NBA finals by beating the San Antonio Spurs 107-99 on Wednesday night.

Russell Westbrook added 25 points for the Thunder, who trailed Game 6 of the Western Conference finals by 18 in the first half and erased a 15-point halftime deficit before pulling ahead to stay in the fourth.

Tony Parker had 29 points and 12 assists for San Antonio, but only eight of the points and two assists came in the second half.

The Thunder outscored the Spurs 59-36 after falling behind 63-48 at halftime and getting a challenge from Brooks that he said had ''nothing to do'' with committing eight turnovers against only six assists while allowing San Antonio to shoot 9 for 15 on 3-pointers.

Game 1 of the NBA finals will be Tuesday night in Oklahoma City against either Boston or Miami. The Celtics lead that series 3-2 and can earn a trip to the finals with a win at home in Game 6 on Thursday night.

Celtics beat the Heat 94-90, leads 3-2

Kevin Garnett finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds, Paul Pierce scored 19 - including a huge 3-pointer over LeBron James' outstretched arm with 52.9 seconds left - and the Celtics beat the Heat 94-90 on Tuesday night, taking a 3-2 lead in the East finals that now shift to Boston for Game 6 on Thursday night.

James finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds for Miami, though he went 8 minutes without scoring in the final quarter. Dwyane Wade scored 27 for the Heat, who got no more than nine from anyone else.

Pierce's 3 put Boston up 90-86. Miami got within two points twice, and argued that it should have had a steal with 8.8 seconds left. Instead, a foul was called on Udonis Haslem, Garnett made two free throws, and the Celtics knew they had just stolen one on Miami's home floor.

Now all they need is one home win of their own to clinch a trip to either Oklahoma City or San Antonio for Game 1 of the NBA finals. The title series starts June 12.

The Celtics were down by 13 points in the second quarter, then down nine in the third, and answered both times - prevailing on a night where they shot just 41 percent, and got outrebounded 49-39.

Allen and Mickael Pietrus scored 13 apiece for the Celtics, who got 10 from Brandon Bass. Pietrus hit two huge 3-pointers in the fourth quarter for Boston, which remained perfect with this core when facing maybe the most pivotal situation a best-of-seven can offer - a Game 5 with a series tied 2-2.

Pierce, Garnett, Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen are now 9-0 in that scenario.

Lakers Beat Nuggets 96-87 in thrilling Game 7

LOS ANGELES (AP) Pau Gasol had 23 points, 17 rebounds and six assists, Metta World Peace scored 15 points in his return from a seven-game suspension, and the Los Angeles Lakers outlasted the Denver Nuggets for a thrilling 96-87 victory in Game 7 on Saturday night to win their first-round series. Steve Blake scored a playoff career-high 19 points and Kobe Bryant had 17 points and eight assists for the Lakers, who blew a 16-point lead in the second half before surviving a finale with wild momentum swings and furious physical play. With Gasol leading an emotional effort, the Lakers narrowly avoided becoming the ninth team in NBA history to blow a 3-1 series lead. Andrew Bynum had 16 points and a career playoff-high 18 rebounds for Los Angeles, which will open the second round Monday night in Oklahoma City against the second-seeded Thunder. Ty Lawson and Al Harrington scored 24 points apiece for the sixth-seeded Nuggets, who committed 19 turnovers and managed just 7-of-27 shooting in the fourth quarter. Arron Afflalo scored 15 points in just the third Game 7 in franchise history for the Nuggets, who have lost in the first round in eight of the last nine postseasons - but never with this much excitement.
