Rightwinger Todd Ewen was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is a journeyman and played for several teams in the NHL. He was called the enforcer in the league, to the fans he was known as “The Animal”. A normal person looks at it and sees a roll of tape but Todd sees a caricature goaltender. He could also make animals and pint-sized people.
He died last Saturday in an apparent suicide according to the authorities. According to On CTV Calgary’s Amanda Singroy, police say Ewen died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. She also Tweets that Ewen’s family said he battled depression for years.
He was 49.
