UFC 162 Silva vs. Weidman Medical Suspensions: Anderson Silva is included
The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman medical suspensions to MMAWeekly.com on Monday.
Most of the suspended fighters that includes UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva have short-term suspensions. However, Kazuki Tokudome could be out until Jan. 3, 2014 because of an orbital blowout fracture to his right eye.
UFC 162 took place last Saturday, July 6, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Chris Weidman knocked Anderson Silva out in the night’s main event, to capture the UFC middleweight championship.
UFC 162 Medical Suspensions:
Anderson Silva: Suspended until Aug. 21 with no contact prior to Aug. 6.
Charles Oliveira: Suspended until Aug. 6 with no contact prior to July 28.
Tim Boetsch: Suspended until Aug. 6 with no contact prior to July 28.
Dennis Siver: Suspended until Oct. 5 with no contact prior to Sept. 5.
Kazuki Tokudome: Must have right orbital blowout fracture cleared by an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor or ophthalmologist or he is suspended until Jan. 3, 2014. He faces a minimum suspension until Aug. 21 with no contact prior to Aug. 6.
Dave Herman: Suspended until Aug. 21 with no contact prior to Aug. 6.
Rafaello Oliveira: Suspended until Aug. 21 with no contact prior to Aug. 6 due to left knee pain.
Seth Baczynski: Suspended until Aug. 6 with no contact prior to July 28 due to right eyebrow and nose lacerations.
David Mitchell: Must have post-concussion clearance from a sports medicine doctor and faces a minimum suspension until Oct. 5 with no contact prior to Sept. 5.
