UFC 168 Results: Ronda Rousey Retain Title Beat Miesha Tate

The grudge match between Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate has ended to another victory by Rousey at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

1st round, Tate circle the Octagon dancing and smiling while Rousey looked angry and focused they went toe to toe from the opening bell before the champion executed her first throw of the fight. Tate was able to work her way up only to be taken down again.

Tate reverse but Rousey’s legs were locked tightly around her upper body and the Judoka softened her up with elbows and punches while looking to set up a triangle or armbar.

Tate was eventually freed and power out, she landed a hard left hook. Then Rousey countered with a straight right. Tate was bloodied but was still able to see the round through to become the first fighter in history to take Rousey to a second round.

2nd round, Rousey tried a throw but Tate keeps on kicking Rousey. Then Rousey took down Tate with Judo throw. Rousey’s Judo was perfect, she capitalize on yet another successful throw then finished the fight with an armbar. Tate’s arm appeared to be hyperextended but she survived only to end up in a reverse triangle.

The round ended with Tate trapped, but Rousey was unable to find a way to convert the dominant position into a successful submission attempt.

3rd round, Rousey dragged Tate down but this time she was able to sink in the armbar for a tap at the 50-second mark.
