Boston Celtics have taken control of the series by drubbing Joel Embiid's Philadelphia 76ers 128 - 101. Playoffs Round 1 is not leading 2 - 0. They defeated the 76ers even without Gordon Hayward who will be out 4 weeks with ankle sprain.

Gordon Hayward was diagnosed with a Grade 3 right ankle sprain on Tuesday and is expected to miss four weeks. The forward, who is averaging 17.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists for the season, suffered the injury in Monday's 109-101 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Jayson Tatum led the green with a playoff career-high 33 points, Tatum (22 years, 169 days) becomes the first Celtic in franchise history to record back-to-back 30+ point playoff games before the age of 23. Kemba Walker added 22 points and Jaylen Brown with 20 points for the Celtics in the win, while Joel Embiid got 34 points and 10 rebounds for the 76ers . The Celtics lead this best-of-seven series, 2-0. Game 3 will take place on Friday, August 21 at 6:30 p.m. ET

Philadelphia 76ers will retire Allen Iverson's No. 3 Jersey

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia 76ers is set to retire the No. 3 jersey of their former all-star great Allen Iverson. The ceremony will be set at halftime of Saturday's game Philadelphia 76ers vs Washington Wizards.

The team had place a space for Iverson's number between Maurice Cheeks' No. 10 and Charles Barkley's No. 34.

Allen Iverson retired in October 2010, led the Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA finals in 2001. He was also awarded the MVP titles on that year. He also got 4 scoring titles under his belt.
