Peyton Manning Too Hot to Handle Finishes with 16 TD passes in September

Peyton Manning efficiency is unmatched as the Denver Broncos scored in bunches to blow out the Eagles 52-20  Manning's four touchdown throws is epic.

Manning's 16 TD passes for the first month of the season has now eclipse Don Meredith 14 TD passes in 1966, it was tied by Kurt Warner in 1999. Peyton Manning and Milt Plum (1960) are the only quarterbacks to throw that number of touchdown passes without an interception.

Peyton Manning also broke the NFL record with his 24th career game with at least four scoring touchdown throws Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles passing Brett Favre’s mark.

Detroit Lions 40, Chicago Bears 32

Reggie Bush 37-yard touchdown run that gives Detroit Lions 27 points in the second quarter and the 173 yards of offense helped the Lions beat Chicago 40-32 Sunday.

Detroit had a 24 straight points with three touchdowns in 3:26, as they won at home to move into a first-place tie at 3-1 with Chicago in the N.F.C. North.

The Lions has been leading with a 40-16 cushion early in the fourth quarter. Jay Cutler, who had four turnovers, threw for two touchdowns and two 2-point conversions in the final four minutes, but Detroit’s Kris Durham recovered an onside kick to seal the win.
