UFC fighter Josh Samman Dead At 28 after being comatose for several days probable drug overdose
UFC middleweight Josh Samman passed away on Wednesday after spending nearly a week in a Florida hospital comatose following a probable drug overdose. He was 28. According to Dr. Craig Mallak, the chief medical examiner for Broward County, the fighter had been hospitalized for 5 days, he was brain-dead for 2 days.
He and roommate Troy Kirkingburg was discovered by a friend last September 29 in his Florida apartment both unresponsive. Kirkingburg, who was an announcer for local MMA promotions, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they were called to the home in the 2200 block of North 58th Avenue just before 7:15 p.m. in reference to a possible overdose. However, Samman’s mother issued a statement earlier this week refuting that heroin was involved.
“Josh is still in a coma, and more tests are being done. That is the latest update on my son’s condition,” Samman’s mother said in the statement. “And in spite of speculation, there was no heroin found in Josh’s system whatsoever. No matter what people are posting on social media.”
Samman remained comatose for several days and was moved to a hospice late Tuesday night. Confirmation of his passing came Wednesday morning via the Tallahassee Democrat.
Samman first debuted as a cast member on season 17 of “The Ultimate Fighter” and was coached by Jon Jones. He went 3-2 during his UFC tenure and was scheduled to fight Oluwale Bamgbose on Dec. 9 at UFC Fight Night in Albany.

Cowboys backup quarterback Kellen Moore Breaks Ankle
Not good for the Dallas Cowboys their backup quarterback Kellen Moore broke his ankle while in their training camp. According to reports, while they are at practice he dropped back to pass and got his ankle rolled up on. He was helped off the field since he was not able to stand by himself. His right ankle was put into a soft cast and he was carted off the field.
Third-string quarterback Dak Prescott was the next man up during drills. He took over the second-team offense for the Cowboys at camp.
The injury happened near the end of the team practice. Also Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain has not yet reported to training camp and there are doubts that he will play in the NFL again since it has been confirmed that his suspension for 10 games is not for a failed marijuana test but for an opiate commonly referred to as "purple drank" (Sprite, cough syrup and codeine).

It's certainly not good news for the Cowboys since they are losing good people and they needed all the help they can get behind Tony Romo.

UC Berkeley Naked Run Spring 2016
As per tradition, a group of UC Berkeley students ran through Moffitt Library and Main Stacks the Wednesday of dead week naked.
The UC Berkeley Naked Run happens every semester during the week leading up to final exams, fearless UC Berkeley students shamelessly streak through main library while shouting and blowing horns as onlookers cheer them. It seems for these students exposing their privates is about celebrating their freedom on the UC Berkeley campus. It last for 20 minutes.
Others complain about the noise and disruption, and most complain about the naked runners smell. The university has a well established tradition of nude activism, that originated in large part from a push for sexual liberation on campus that occurred around the same time as the Free Speech Movement. Since the 1960s, students have used nudity to make statements on a variety of issues, ranging from rape culture to the clearing of trees near campus.

It will be released online on July 6 and hit newsstands on July 8. Press 27, said that her body is “100% made” for her sport. “I’m 100 per cent a byproduct of my sport. I always tell my teammates that I only have muscles where they get to play.
“I have butt muscles, thigh muscles, and then my upper body is super skinny – except for in my shoulders, which you need for a little bit of strength to hold other players off the ball.
“So I think I’ve developed muscles 100 per cent from just shooting the ball and running. Every single thing about my body looks like soccer.”
This is the 8th annual edition of the Body Issue. It will include photos, interviews and videos of athletes, that will include Miami Heat basketballer Dwyane Wade, MMA star Conor McGregor, Team USA duathlete Chris Mosier (first transgender athlete to appear in the Body Issue), Houston Texans' giant defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller of the Denver Broncos, Chicago Cubs Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Jake Arrieta, three-time WNBA All-Star and 2015 MVP Elena Delle Donne, Olympians Nathan Adrian and April Ross.
Durant, Anthony will lead 12-player US Olympic basketball team
Even without MVP LeBron James and Stephen Curry, the USA is still the favorites to win the gold for third consecutive time at the Rio Olympic Games. The Americans have won 17 consecutive games at the Olympics dating back to the 2004 bronze medal game at the 2004 Athens Olympics
USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo has chose Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes, Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, DeAndre Jordan and DeMarcus Cousins to represent the country in the Olympics.
Durant and Anthony are the only players with Olympic experience after a number of stars, including James, decided to skip Rio.
Players who withdraw from consideration were MVP LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, John Wall, Blake Griffin, Anthony Davis and James Harden.
“First of all, you have 12 dedicated guys who have committed to be part of this and represent their country and that in itself is a big statement,” Colangelo told USA TODAY Sports. “Some just came off a championship series. We’re appreciative of that commitment.
“Number two, this is a very strong team. There’s been a lot said about those who are not participating, and it should be more about who is participating and what they bring to the table. It’s a deep roster. We have a number of guys who could play 2-3 positions, and it gives Coach K (Mike Krzyzewski) several options of how we can play.”

LeBron, Cavaliers bring championship to Cleveland
LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers became the first NBA team to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the Finals and ended Cleveland’s 52-year, major professional sports championship drought. LeBron James had a super performance contributing 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in a 93-89 victory in Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday that clinched the Cavaliers’ first championship in franchise history.
Both teams do what they best at to try to win the game Cleveland was physical, bullying Golden State on the boards (48-39) and in the paint (48-28). James who had a 41-point was assertive, racking up 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the first half. While all eyes were on Stephen Curry, it was Draymond Green who provided a first-half spark, piling up 22 points and making all five of his three-point attempts.
Curry scored nine-points in the first half, but needed eight shots to get them. Klay Thompson was worse. Curry’s sidekick scored five points on 2-of-9 shooting in the first two quarters. Fortunately for Golden State, James received less help. After scoring 64 points the last two games, Kyrie Irving could muster just nine in the first half. And Kevin Love, desperately in need of a breakout performance, had five points on 1-of-5 shooting.
The battle between James and Curry, already chippy, continued in Game 7. James blocked a Curry layup in the second quarter, lingering in Curry’s vicinity for a few seconds. Curry turned, bumped into James chest and began barking at the Cavs star. Green interceded, and referee Mike Callahan needed to step in and separate them.
Draymond Green had 32 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists for the Warriors, and Stephen Curry had 17 points but shot just 6 of 19 from the field. In the final minute, Curry missed a 3-pointer that would have tied the game. With 10.6 seconds left, James made 1 of 2 free throws to seal the win.
LeBron James was named Finals MVP.

Dwyane Wade Disrespect Canada's National Anthem
Dwyane Wade shows his disregard to Canada's National Anthem, before the Toronto Raptors’ 95-91 win against the Miami Heat on Saturday in Miami Dwyane Wade was seen shooting bricks while his teammates are lined up around the foul line and fans stood up to pay respect to “Oh Canada”.
Yes, it did help him throughout the game he is 13-25 for 38 points but still they lost and Toronto is now leading the series 2 to 1.
"It's something that I do before every game that I prepare for, and I've been doing it my whole career," Wade said after the Heat's practice session Sunday at AmericanAirlines Arena. "So I understand whatever is said from that standpoint, but I'm not a disrespectful person. So if anybody thinks I'm being disrespectful towards a country, then they have no idea of who Dwyane Wade is."
Do you think the NBA will act and discipline Dwyane Wade’s Canada disrespect? I doubt it.
